The Rising of The Shield Hero - A Novel about a Parallel World

The Rising of The Shield aka Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari, is a light novel written by Aneko Yusagi. It is also available in Manga form but the Novel series is much more ahead compared to the Manga series. This is a very interesting novel as it is a novel which has a fantasy and gaming like feel. You can say this novel contain a strong RPG element and therefore make this novel an interesting novel to read.

 
Well, the story starts of with the usual " Plain-like otaku ", Iwatani Naofumi going about his normal life. As he was reading an ancient looking book he found in the Library, he was transported to a fantasy world as a hero. He was summoned to stop disastrous waves from destroying the world. Pretty plain right?

  Well, actually no. The story took an interesting turn as events began to unfold in various unpredictable way. You can say this novel has a very interesting plot and I greatly recommend this to those who like fantasy adventure like novel. And if you actually like those settings where people has to build up stuffs from scratch, this is quite a novel for you!

  This novel revolves around a few weapons that are called "Holy Weapons" which contain spirits of their own.Well, we have a Shield, Spear, Sword, Bow and many more !! Quite interesting if you ask me, as they have their own perks and this novel actually shows them real neat.
